Natural Play
Providing children with natural materials in their learning environment makes exploration more meaningful and relevant.
Multi-Sensory Room
As a part of our whole child philosophy, we utilize a multi-sensory room as a part of our everyday curriculum. Children are able to experiment and use all of their senses, even the two more complicated ones called the proprioceptive and vestibular sense to support self-regulation and awareness.
Music Time with Miss Sarah
Every Two weeks each classroom spends 30 minutes with the terrific Miss Sarah. Miss Sarah brings a variety of music, instruments, props, songs, and an enthusiasm that keeps the interest in music and movement alive throughout the year.
Emergent Curriculum
Our philosophy is that children learn best when they are actively constructing their own knowledge, and what they are learning about has relevance to them. This is what makes their learning meaningful and sets the foundation for curiosity and a natural love of learning.
Curiosity and Exploration
Children are encouraged to use materials in a variety of ways, and explore them to their fullest.
At Positively Preschool, we offer high quality care and education with the flexibility of a 2, 3, or 5 day schedule. We have hand picked our hours to offer a longer school day in order to provide ample time for children to explore and learn to their fullest. Offering a 7 hour day (8:30-3:30) has allowed us to create an environment of continuity and routine that young children depend on to help organize their world. Read More

Each child's development is documented as the year progresses. This information is compiled into a developmental portfolio that parents receive at the end of the year.
